Lemons and Copper Pot

The was a pastel piece I painted using the sight size method. After the sketch of the pot I began using Rembrandt pastels to complete the first layer. I then applied softer pastels and a fixative and reapplied another layer of softer pastels such as Sennelier and Schminke pastels to complete the painting. The knife helped to complete the circular effect of the eye moving around the painting.
