Zero and One

"Zero and One" is inspired by the everyday mystery of the binary system. The figure's hands, to me, are saying "Zero and One" - the spirit in the circuits belongs to the past, the present, and the future. The free-standing piece is a mixed media assemblage of found as well as fashioned objects fixed to a deep solid wood frame, and finished with paint, metallic wax, and varnish.
